Q: now that you’ve left the expedition, what are your plans now?

>> STEVE: When I left Jason to pedal Moksha solo from Hawaii in 1999 I traveled to New Zealand and Australia, wanting to find some land and community where I could live fairly sustainably. Either I didn’t find the right place or I wasn’t ready, but I returned to England in January 2000 and decided to finish writing a book.

That’s what I’m doing now, and earning money as a ferryman. It would be great to find a publisher for the book, but I’ve really enjoyed writing it whatever happens. In September 2001 I will return to my favourite community in Australia. I would love to continue helping with the educational side of the expedition, but other than that I’d like to live without any plans at all for a while.
